Eastern Strandsby
WeJayComment by photokariangel: This is Kari Ann, greetings from the
Critique Club:
composition: The framing of the little boy by the two people on either side create a nice border around him. The straight gaze he's giving also helps with the center composition.
color: i like the over saturated colors, but for some it may be too much. The little splashes of different colors throughout the frame really help lead the eye around to view everything captured.
contrast: contrast is nice, and just enough to set the boy out from the crowd.
focus: i can clearly tell the focus was on the boy, but on his back side, there is some strange movement going on.
depth of field: very nice, enough to dissect the boy from the surroundings, but just enough to make it out and adds to the overall image.
lighting: the harsh lighting for me adds emphasis and the more feeling to the image.
other:overall, i feel this image was a great addition to the challenge. But when most think of Asia, they think of the "oriental-prototype", but you scored very well. I hope to see more of your work in future challenges, keep up the hard work!
