My only 10. This is a masterful shot with the seal innocently raising it's head up to ask about the type of lens the photog is using :) The DOF is perfect.
These moments are not contrived and you have to be on the ball to capture them. Excellent expectation and timing Robert. This kind of photography outstrips contrived still life / studio shots as it cannot be (re)created.

It's a nice portrait. Tony's expression is genuinely happy, not a for-the-camera smile.

Lovely photo. The scattered reflected light looks very romantic.

Nice light! The glitters are giving very nice effect here. Perhaps there's a little too much shadow behind the guy's head.

I would suggest you find a small light/flash meter to help you adjust the strobes. As you note the hairlight/backlight is really bright. But you have captured a good expression for him.

AAAcck!!! I'd pass out from the cute. Just commenting now.

Every time I click on this image I just want to hug the critter. How lucky to have witnessed this. The content of this image surpasses any other "tool" shot, as it tells a story and has an emotion. Love how the pup is looking up. Did I mention I love cute things?????

you've caught the most excellent happy expression ..
i think to be really good at taking photographs of ppl you have to 'bond' with them in some way and form a connection .. make them feel relaxed and also that they dont have a camera pointed in their face .. make them forget about the camera .. i work on speed ... get them when they dont expect it .. but you obviously dont have to .. !!
brilliant shot .. :)

Here is my personal scoring scale with 2 points each. The idea behind is to justify the score I gave. You have all right not to agree with it. This is just my personal opinion with whatever little photography knowledge I have. Hope it helps.

- Meets the challenge - 2 out of 2
- Lighting/Exposure - 2 out of 2
- Composition - 1 out of 2
- Concept and execution - 1 out of 2
- Over all image, WOW factor - 1 out of 2

Is this the same seal that I thought was so "AWWWW-ful" in the freestudy? Looks like you had a little ham on your hands.
