Nice portrait... I don't have much experience with studio lighting, but this looks really good to me.. and his relaxed expression, tells me that you are great at getting your subjects at ease ;) |

It's a nice portrait. Tony's expression is genuinely happy, not a for-the-camera smile. |

I would suggest you find a small light/flash meter to help you adjust the strobes. As you note the hairlight/backlight is really bright. But you have captured a good expression for him. |

you've caught the most excellent happy expression ..
i think to be really good at taking photographs of ppl you have to 'bond' with them in some way and form a connection .. make them feel relaxed and also that they dont have a camera pointed in their face .. make them forget about the camera .. i work on speed ... get them when they dont expect it .. but you obviously dont have to .. !!
