Comment by snaffles:
very nice shot and making me hungry, but I'd like to see a little more sat. Also risky with so much white-on-white. Would like to see the sushi pop more.

You'll always get a lower score when you submit a picture of a peice of artwork that is not yours, even if you present it in an interesting and dramatic way. When the voter sees an image like this she/he thinks "But the sculptor did all the work" but when they see an old barn, they will attribute the "find" to the photographer. Its a voter quirk thing that cost you that half a point, and always will.

Might suggest a tighter crop, with the chopsticks laying across the sushi. The wrinkles in the background, and reflection of the blinds(?) in the plate take away from this shot.

This one did not come up for me in voting, but my impression is the perspective does not work. My eye is drawn up past the subject and instead, to the out of focus window in the background. Perhaps because that is where the strong color is. The statue having it's face worn off may be a contributing factor to that as well.

Nice serene scene, I love the lone tree. It may have looked a little better if the horizon was level but still a nice image.
