I truly enjoy this photo :-) I love the contrast in colors, and the DOF on the ant is amazing!! There's so much detail and clarity. It really is a beautiful shot of something most people take for granted. Excellent job and one of my favs for this challenge!

It's always quite hard to get beyond the sheer scientific interest in macros like this, so there is some immediate impact from that alone; i half-like the composition - certainly the graphic nature of the shot the bokeh, the red and green appeals, but I'm unconvinved, I think, of your precise choice of framing in your crop.

Cool shot, I like insect shots. But it is a bit highlighted and the face could be more clear. But insects are tricky things to photograph.
