Day 27 Schoolchildrenby jonfrommkComment by WalesP: Way to go Jon. I'm going to have to send you a cowboy hat so you can tip your hat to the ladies. Nice shot of the statues, they are really cool. |

Day 27 Schoolchildrenby jonfrommkComment by Ken: Those things are so cool - they look tiny until you realize they're actually on a building. The colors & lighting all work well together. |

Day 27 Schoolchildrenby jonfrommkComment by Charlene: Hmmm.... pointy hat and tights? No... sorry. But now it's vividly in my mind! LOL :)
I'm getting the impression that you just sit around work looking out your window... hmm... doesn't sound like you get much done, except taking lovely pics. of the street below your office.
Ok, nice composition, I like the amazing texture of the girl's apron, it really gives the image the history it deserves. Also, great capture of her reflection in the window. Very nice. |

Day 24 Bootsby jonfrommkComment by citymars: Nice photo, Jon, but for me it's the story makes it resonate so sweetly. I know I say this every other day, but you have a gift for storytelling (as well as for photography, OBviously) and have really met this photo/blog challenge head-on.

Day 27 Schoolchildrenby jonfrommkComment by citymars: Looks good to me! Lovely statues, such a gorgeous blue. Clumsy or not, please don't tumble out the window for the sake of your photography.
I don't go quite so far here in this other world capital, though I do sometimes feel like the village idiot as I find myself smiling at all sorts of people.

Day 26 On the fringe of the madding crowdby jonfrommkComment by citymars: Originally posted by jonfrommk : ...and they scuttle off as if they have just encountered a madman |
Maybe they have, Jon. Maybe they have.
Just kidding, of course. I love your descriptiveness. Once again you really made me smile.
Cool b&w photo. NOT a criticism, but am I the only one to notice the lens flare? It's like a big bubble. I have expect Glenda the Witch of the North to appear! |

Day 27 Schoolchildrenby jonfrommkComment by karmat: Glad to see they are tied securely. I bet they have the most interesting conversations. Or they would if they could talk. they look a bit pale, though, must be using too strong a sunscreen. |

Day 27 Schoolchildrenby jonfrommkComment by roz: another great read and another great shot ... and if you do put yourself out there and actually smile and say hi to total strangers you'll get so many different reactions .. i find that the positive ones far outweigh the ones that are negative .. to have a nice moment with a total stranger is just excellent ... :) |

Day 27 Schoolchildrenby jonfrommkComment by colorcarnival: You are just itching to drop another camera, aren't you?
These are interesting pieces of work. I'm curious as to whether these two were more prominent when they were first placed on the building. Sounds like people might find it as an oddity now? At least it looks like they are being taken care of. They look like they are in good condition. Oh I see there are spotlights. Must be interesting to see these at night. |
