Thank you Roz. Must say that one seldom sees a more compassionate countenance as this one that you captured in a horse.
There is so much feel in this picture that made me think of a French drama, a Robert Bresson movie "Au hasard Balthazar", one of a greatest films of all times. But, as it's based upon a Dostoyevsky's novels, it's not for the faint of the heart.
Your image has a lot of hope, a true stunning photograph.

What an infectious smile. Without seeing the original images, your subtle overlay is almost unnoticeable. I can now see it primarily in the background. I feel you improved the image with this overlay..

I think the hair bunches up at the top of her head in a strange way that is distracting. I would actually make it dark behind her hair to eliminate that shape.

Oh, I love this Roz! Both pictures are fabulous. (I love horses btw.) Because of the second photo, the first tells the story of the inquisitive horses watching the out of frame Katee, while the second frame shows the reciprocation of curiosity and friendship. Love, love, love it.

Excellent choice of texture for this composition! It's amazing how a simple texture overlay can really bring out the details in an image.
