I had to laugh when I read your comment in the thread, because I am experiencing exactly the same thing - you get going on these things and every step seems like a good idea until you look at the finished product.

However, I like this - it's definitely interesting to look at - even if it does contain bugs :op The depth is amazing, and the colors are wonderful.

The colors remind me of an old painting...like you stole Vermeer's palette. I like the leafy shapes and the framing (from an old door?). But it is a bit messy and I struggle wanting to see something sharp. If only that one bug's head was crisp...

I love the basic background colours Roz, but the bottom left corner doesn't quite work for me. What an amazing place that firetrail is.
