this is a photograph of a kangaroo i took the day before yesterday when we were driving up our road .. i got out and took a couple of photographs and he just sat there looking at me .. i was a fair distance from him using 100mm zoom .. i yelled at him to see if he was ok and he went off slowly .. i think he was 'limping' .. obviously kangaroos limp differently from four legged creatures .. but he didnt seem very spry .. i'm hoping he's ok ..
i used a photograph i took this morning of barbed wire as a sort'v frame/texture/overlay ..

since germaine wondered if this was a very small creature i'll just add that the kangaroo would probably have been up to my armpits in size .. not small at all !! .. i was about 20meters away from him/her ... zoomed 100mm & cropped a whole heap .. the barbed wire fence, i photographed this morning, and used as an overlay .. its a different photograph to the kangaroo .. but the size of the barbed wire gives the impression, i spose, that the kangaroo is very small .. i didnt realise till germaine said tho ..

these are two other processes i did with the same lot of photographs ..

Great framing. Very unsuspected mood/feel generated here, but it works well.

I really like the barbed wire - it really adds a "story telling" aspect to the shot :)

Cool. Looks like you're peeking through something. He looks very small compared to the wire. A kangaroo mouse???

Nice use of the barbed wire for a frame, Roz! It's just the coolest that kangaroos hop along your road. Yeesh, I'd love to go to your part of the world one of these days.

Nice work Roz! It looks like he's peeking at you through the wire.
