Sea Urchinby MaryOComment by Sheryll: I think all of my flower shots are taken with the 90-300. Yes you have to stand far enough away and can't get some of the angle but it really adds dof. the only reason I've been using it really though is cause I knew it worked fine and I was too lazy to change to the kit lense. I might do that today though cause there's a flower in my yard that I want to get above and shoot down on it.
I think this could use a bit better focus but it is an interesting flower. Looks like it might be some kind of thistle maybe? |

Ah, Little Grasshopper!by MaryOComment by Sheryll: Looks a little oversharpened but not distractingly so. Looks like something I'd do myself (which I get comments on alot). I'm usually not a fan of wide borders but this one doesn't bother me so much. It works for the shot. |

Rockets' Red Glareby MaryOComment by Sheryll: That's cool!!! Wish you used the tripod though cause I'd love to see this more in focus (at least just that one "star" on the left). |

Climbing Nightshadeby MaryOComment by Sheryll: Great focus and composition. This is nice. How about just relocating it to somewhere the dogs can't get to it? Front yard? |

Someone's Been Eating the Flowers!by MaryOComment by Sheryll: Pretty Orange colors. Could it have been a kid "chopping" with a stick or someting instead of something eating it? That's a little boy thing to do as I've caught my son in the act before. |

Perennial Geraniumby MaryOComment by Sheryll: I like the abstract feel of this one. Sometimes these can look like the flower head is floating but this doesn't. I like the pp. |

Through the Mistby MaryOComment by Sheryll: I heard you can put the camera in a sealed plastic bag and bring it from one temp to another, wait til it acclimates and then take it out of the bag. The bag keeps condensation from getting inside the lense. (Never tried it and I don't know if it works). |
