I want to see his determination, his frenzy to beat the clock...and it was all there - from the front. Composition could be better, tighten up the shot. Give me no option but to look at what it is that made you take tyhis picture...was it the feet at the top? Then why are they there? Make your audience seee what you see - you can only do that by getting in close to what you're looking at. 5 -11n |

I never would have thought that it would be able to rip apart a pencil with those sharp teeth, if I hadn't seen it myself. 2 totally different sides to the same kitty. I would have lliked to have seen the entire cat in the photo. either move the photo up a tad, or back it up a tad. Great focus, lighting and angle. good job and good luck in the challenge. |

The arrangement of cat, pencil, pad, afghan are all nicely planned in the "still-life" mode. It might have been nice if the color of whatever is under the afghan were just a bit more vivid. Also the pencil being a little out of focus bothers me a little-but not much. I do like cats, by the way, but they don't always lend themselves to the topics of the challenge (or if they do, they don't cooperate and the thing ends up looking really contrived). There are cute cat pictures and there are good cat pictures. This one is good and how nice that it works so well into the theme. Good job and compliments to the cat. |

Appeal/Artistic:good Composition:good, except I'd get rid of the clothes on the right. They only add clutter. The lines in the afgan are fine though. They point right to the cat. The back of the cat is cut off though... :-( would like to see the cat's tail included. Originality:ok Comments:I love the sweetness in the face of this lovely feline. The picture is very nice.Good luck in the challenge. |

(I hope this off sets any anti-cat sentiments you might have received - see rant) She/He has an interesting left eye with the brown spot. The rug/blanket give this a snapshot look, I don't mind, but if you're going for a high score, you might want to think about this. 8 Swash |
