Day 4by aliquiComment by drydoc: Wet grass? For a full hour? Without moving? Wait till your 60!
To me the detail in the stamen and pistols is what makes this an extremely interesting shot. That is where my eye went first. The bee was actually a distraction. But I feel you really wanted him in there.
Excuse me. I have to run. . . Message edited by author 2008-08-04 19:34:26. |

Day 3by aliquiComment by bassbone: the high contrast take on these flowers works so well to show the shadows and light play of the petals
i am just not sure about the very top of the image - it seems to be disconnected to the lower 2/3s of the image |

Day 3by aliquiComment by sherpet: The lighting and fine detail and textures really help to make this one sing. I like the drama of the 'black and white' tones very much. |

Day 3by aliquiComment by quiche: Interesting lighting effect in B/W. Makes the lighter flowers look spotlighted, which is nice. Not sure the brick is entirely complimentary to the texture of the flowers, but hey, if the flowers are planted in front of brick, that's where you shoot. I do believe the brick looks better in B/W than it would have in color, so good choice on your part. |

Day 2by aliquiComment by quiche: This one has loads of visual impact. You got just the right areas in sharp focus, and then got lovely blurred DOF in the rest. Really nice. |
