the high contrast take on these flowers works so well to show the shadows and light play of the petals
i am just not sure about the very top of the image - it seems to be disconnected to the lower 2/3s of the image |

The lighting and fine detail and textures really help to make this one sing. I like the drama of the 'black and white' tones very much. |

Interesting lighting effect in B/W. Makes the lighter flowers look spotlighted, which is nice. Not sure the brick is entirely complimentary to the texture of the flowers, but hey, if the flowers are planted in front of brick, that's where you shoot. I do believe the brick looks better in B/W than it would have in color, so good choice on your part. |

I prefer some colour in florals, but this is a good B&W. |

I like the B&W, not sure if the bricks are helping. Very interesting lighting. |

LOL! I love that bit about removing the extension tubes... I really like the coversion to B&W with the brick wall behind - somehow that makes perfect sense to me. |

I love black and white. You have taken up the challenge to experiment. Nice. Flowers in black and white certainly takes nerves of steel.
BTW' Thanks for your comments on my white sheet. . . appreciated. |
