Catch a lickingby snafflesComment by Melethia: Nice catch of the interaction, and babies with their moms always make good advertising for a zoo. Good use of the diagonal in the composition. |

Skitterby snafflesComment by conspiracy: ah! if only the focus was better, it could have been a nice shot.

Best friends reliving the days of horse as war machineby snafflesComment by salmiakki: Greetings from the Critique Club
I swear the script is working so that all your images come to me!
This seems to have placed well for you. Very good subject for the challenge topic.
The composition is quite strong, but somehow I wonder if it could have been improved slightly by not having such a tight crop. Perhaps a little bit space to the left of the frame would have helped.
The sort of sepia toning is quite effective. The sky appears quite blown out but I don't think that matters too much. Probably cost you a bit in the score though.

...yes, this one's new. I just adopted her from Canada...by snafflesComment by Quigley: Well having been there and seen this shot in the making, I offer you this in observation of your edit. It's really light and unfortunately lacks definition in the people, they don't really stand out from the background. These things are not hard to fix and a look on U-Tube at stuff done by Photoshop Mama would be a big help. You should see what you can do and post a re-edit to compare the two images.
I had a great time visiting you and I really look forward to doing it all again soon.
All the best to you and yours.

Just a bitby snafflesComment by Melethia: Not something most of us see everyday! I still don't understand how it would work, but I'll take your word for it. :-) |

Rainby snafflesComment by Melethia: I like the echoed patterns formed in the waterdrops - I see birds, deer, butterflies in there. Really quite fascinating! |
