Mam and Fiona, dam and daughter, 17hh Clydesdale mares who weigh around 1800 lbs apiece. Don't forget, not only were horses like these the tractors and ploughs of their age, they were also the original war machines. Knights rode horses like these into battle; they had to be big and powerful in order to carry both the weight of the knight and his weapons, but their own armour too.

Greetings from the Critique Club

I swear the script is working so that all your images come to me!

This seems to have placed well for you. Very good subject for the challenge topic.

The composition is quite strong, but somehow I wonder if it could have been improved slightly by not having such a tight crop. Perhaps a little bit space to the left of the frame would have helped.

The sort of sepia toning is quite effective. The sky appears quite blown out but I don't think that matters too much. Probably cost you a bit in the score though.

Ha. Love the action, just enough to freeze the bodies but not the foot hairs (and you could add what they are properly called).

a frame or an edge burn might bring the true black out, but strong image

I just love pics of horses specially heavy ones.
What is the white fleck? I can only imagine it must be seeds blowing in the wind.
