A bit of noise. Bring the ISO setting a little bit lower should help. It should help make the rust spots on the gate stand out more.

I like the textures on the rusty fence and post contrasted with the soft grass. The grass out of focus adds to the contrast.

Very nice image. The lighting here is almost perfect, a very slight adjustment in the lighting would have made this shot. Your focus is fantastic. The composition is good

As for meeting the challenge, yes slinky is a trend but slinky dog is even more of a trend =o) All kids go through a slinky trend.
