Landing Stageby bjoernComment by rinac: This sort of location is many a photographer's dream. I'm not sure it's all it can be from the position you've taken the shot. You may want to try getting down there and shooting from a lower perspective. Or even wait a little while longer for the tide to come in and see what happens around those poles... |

Landing Stageby bjoernComment by smudgeSMJ: I think this pic needs some more context in order to become truly effective. Are we looking at an abandoned dock? Show where it connects to land so we really get a sense of what was lost, what was abandoned. |

Morning Dew (1)by bjoernComment by Ken: The bokeh and colors on this are just wonderful. This already reminds me of something Ursula would do, and I think if the colors popped a tad more it be even better. |

Waiting for Dinnerby bjoernComment by glad2badad: It is a bit busy in the background and bright enough that it takes away from the main subject. As an entry in the 'Upside Down' challenge I felt it met the challenge just fine. I gave it a 5...kind of it's "ok", not bad or anything, just not a "wow" moment either.
As a Macro shot for the side challenge, I'd like it to be tighter and more personal with the subject. That spider looks to have a lot of detail that would really stand out if it could be seen better.
All JMO of course. :-) |

Waiting for Dinnerby bjoernComment by hajeka: I always like spiders (on a photo, not in the house). I agree with your own about the busy background. It takes a lot of attention from the spider Perhaps a BW conversion? But then of course you would miss the colors. |
