Meanderingby tfarrell23Comment by bvy: I am participating in the "Why a '5' not a '6'?" commenting activity ( see recent forum thread). Viewers are asked to leave a comment with some of their votes of '5' letting the photographer know why, for them, it fell short of a vote of '6'. If you have found this comment useful, you may wish to offer some of your own to those images where you vote 5.
I very much like the compositon -- the way the winding road takes us in and out of the perpindicular trees. The colors are pleasing too. Why just a five? Plain and simple -- I don't like the processing. It feels like it got a dose of Topaz or HDR, and I'm not a fan of that look. However, I appreciate that you used it in moderation, and at the end of the day, I still rather like this image.
Now you know. |

A Study in Light, Depth,Texture and Formby tfarrell23Comment by BrennanOB: The lighting and texture on the ball are great, but the glove ( im guessing the ball is in a feilder's glove) cuts off the circle of the ball and is so vague and has so little information that it's major effect is as a negative. So partial wow! and partial huh? |
