Indian Lake 1by timfythetooComment by dtremain: Would that be the same "Indian Lake" as the rock song ad? Nice shot. I agree about the perspective. It almost looks like a cut and past from two different images - the rock clues and height cues are just wrong! |

Indian Lake 1by timfythetooComment by KarenNfld: This has a surreal feel to it, I think because Aiden is smaller than Rowan, the perspective is playing tricks with my eyes! A very cool photo. |

Indian Lake 1by timfythetooComment by roz: love the way the background has a misty feel and how your kids stand out against it ..
i dont know why, but it reminds me of a fantasy in some ways .. the girl looking back at you and the boy intent on something in the distance .. would make for a good story .. would look good hanging on a wall too .. !!! |

Indian Lake 1by timfythetooComment by pixelpig: I see surrealism. The boy could be much taller than the girl, & he's wearing a more dominant color, but the flattening effect of the camera & the light puts him on the same plane as the girl, & makes it all very...surreal. And of course there's the obvious metaphore of the kids on the rocky, interesting shoreline of childhood gazing out at the flat, horizonless vista of their future. The girl is looking over her shoulder, perhaps in farwell or perhaps in regret. The boy is looking for a boat & a breeze. Anyway, I realize these are your happy, contented kids, don't mean to say anything that will upset you, this is just what I see. It is a very evocative shot, for me. [eta] I don't see a snapshot, though. "D Message edited by author 2009-07-31 10:37:27. |
