I'm not sure what is off in the distance to the right, but if it were me I would have tried to capture some of the vast openness. I think that would add to the adventureness of the photo and add to the minimalism. As it is now my eye follows the left brushy wall which I find distracting. The draw to photos like this for me is that the person out on the edge got there with a great deal of difficulty. By including the hill on the left that sense of danger fades, and I picture a trail and a parking lot on the otherside of the hill.

It's a good photo, but I think you could have gotten a big "Wow" factor by turning your camera to the right a bit.
