Danger...Prehistoric Creatureby sherpetComment by hideout: This lizard reminded me of Godzilla posters, yes ... a little city being stomped in the bg would have added that destruction element, but initially I loved the intense color and detail of his lizard skin. I voted a 7. |

Grecian Urnby sherpetComment by SandyP: What an elegant photo! I can envision this in a huge ornate wall hanging. Definitely one of the best in this challenge!!! |

Red Hot Pokerby sherpetComment by pidge: Beautiful colours here. It would be nice to maybe see the background a bit more blurred to really make the flower stand out. Excellent capture! |

Red Hot Pokerby sherpetComment by moniepenny: I really like the contrasting textures here, with the waxy red petal to the bumber center thing. The colours are excellent too, as others have said. I agree with needing more room on the left. Other than that, great image. |

Red Hot Pokerby sherpetComment by ursula: I agree with the commenters below: the reds and greens are beautiful; the composition is good, although a bit tight on the left; the background is just a tad busy. I also would like to see your garden. |

Red Hot Pokerby sherpetComment by sherpet: We live in a sub-tropical area, in sunny Queensland, Australia.....
If one plants anything in the garden, I am sure thst overnight you can see tha differance, as everything planted in the ground here, grows like magic....
I love tropical plants and flowers, and they have become my personal favorite subject matter. They never answer you back.....
As you know the "Agave" plant has definatly become "my signiture" plant/image. I will never stop photographing them, and still have so many ideas re this beautiful scruptural plant .
Originally posted by Tuckersmom: Cool flower, why don't you treat us to a larger view of your neighbor's (or yours for that matter) garden if it's filled with these and other things we don't normally see. Back to your shot. I think the color is great and the focus on the middle of the flower is spot on. I would maybe think about getting rid of the red in the upper right, it's distracting me a little. |
