Location: In a large pot, with a 6 feet tall Magnolia tree.

 This is a close-up shot, from below, looking up into the black night sky of my Magnolia plant.

I absolutely LOVE the velvet texture and color, on the backs of the leaves, of this Magnolia tree, nearly as much as the beautiful white flowers.

If people question the time of this shot it was definately at night as if one could see the details re the origional "raw" images, there were taken from 9pm until after midnight.

This is why I have called this image "Midnight Velvet".....

Night Shots are some more than shots taken at night. It sugest the use of natural ambient light and long exposures.

I like the color/contrast but the light is a little too harsh as indicated by the shadows. The leaves probably have detail in them that isn't brought out. - 5
