i think a little unsuccessful attempt at such great a topic by me. Its a double shoot, first a print and over scratches by blade to produce effect of water going over it.
Lttle bit of different texture but i could not get it effective enough. (but i tried, thats all count correct).

An invaluable drop of timeby zxaarComment by zxaar: Originally posted by SandyP: Oh!!! Zxaar!!!! What an aMAZING fine art photo! Thank you for sharing so eloquently the story behind it. It makes it even more magical. I actually think this time, I prefer the color version over the black and white. It seems somehow to tell a little more of the story. The lighting and shadows are exquisite.
You are a painter. . ..I can see this as a huge painting. How beautifully it would enhance a room!
Congratulations on a most unique and beautiful capture. |
You can see I am very attached to this one.
About its being painting, yes. My wife always telling me that I keep on making portraits for people but have not done any of my daughter. I am going to start painting again, hopefully as soon as we shift into new house where I will have a dedicated room for myself. So that I could put colors around without having to worry about someone treading on them.
I remember a photo of a baby in your portfolio, that one photo is always in my mind. I can not seem to get it out of my head.

Poetryby zxaarComment by aliqui: I remember seeing this during the challenge and thinking to myself "wow.. that's not going to do well." I almost instantly appreciated the beauty of the photo though. It is very Impressionistic.
You're photo quite clearly belongs on a wall. It is very much a painting. Unfortunately, the voters on DPC don't usually appreciate photos that aren't perfectly crisp with a clear subject and colors they expect to see.
In your own words you were "trying something different." In looking at other photos in your profile, I can tell you that you don't need my advice on how to take a photo. I think this photo was just an experiment that isn't appreciated by the masses in this venue. If it were a painting on a wall in a museum the opinions would be vastly different. Keep experimenting. You're a great photographer! |

Poetryby zxaarComment by purpleflutterby13: Wow, that is beautiful! An intense burst of colour that hits you and makes you jump as soon as you look at it... The title is most appropriate, to me this is like visual poetry. And who cares about the score, I'd be happy to see this on my wall any day. |
