I think lens ball images tend to veer strongly toward the ultra-sharp and bright, and I like how shadowed and soft this image is, shows us a different aspect of the window

apropos for Jan 1! I agree with Mariuca, that the overall sharpness is somewhat lacking for the choice of composition and technique. even at f/11, DOF is quite shallow with that lens...

it actually looks like a reflection .. and i love reflections .. but of course its not ..
the tones and your marvelous macro work so well .. you have created a very tasty image here ..
the patterns remind me of mushrooms .. could be that i've just commented on pauls bread, butter and jam .. and hajeka's cheesy and mouthwatering concoction .. so my mind is on food right now .. hence the mushrooms .
i must say tho .. i cant work out what those shapes could be .. its a very interesting and appealing image .. :)
