one thing I love about this challenge is the glimpses I get into other people's lives -- your coffee, Karmat's kids, kelly's closet, Rebecca's new condo, I could go on and on. Thank you for sharing this with me. I now know way more about roasting coffee than I ever thought I would. :)

Nice shot, although it looked kind of creepy as a thumb. :)

What a wonderful story about roasting coffee. Like the blog entry alot. Says a lot about your interests and pursuits. I on the other hand am a whole bean fanatic for eight o clock coffee. I love freshly grinding it. Haven't tried roasting my own. Sounds like something I would like to try.

So does your username pertain to the coffee brewing or do you brew other things as well? I've seen coffee roasters and that seems like a fun thing to do, but I'm too much into instant gratification to do it myself.

The photo is very cool - wonderful macro and good depth. Colors are beautiful - good job!

Beautiful colors in this -- I especially like the subtle changes in the background color. Good composition for the square crop. The edges of the flower seem a bit jaggy -- is that from sharpening the background? I wonder if that would show in a print.
