When I moved here 5 1/2 years ago there was an elderly lady across the street. I never met her, but heard that she wasn't in good health and died about a year later. So now the house sits unoccupied, and family comes every couple of weeks to cut the grass and then they just leave. I have no idea why they don't just sell the place; maybe one day I'll go over and talk to them.

There's a pond on the property where I sometimes go to get a quick picture. Miss Taterbug and I sometimes go there when she wants to enter a challenge and we don't have time to do anything else. There's the pond, a few flowers, plenty of bugs, cattails, etc.

I sat here and played with it in PS quite a bit; felt like tweaking and tweaking hue/sat, color balance, etc. If it's over processed, let me know!

I don't think it's overprocessed at all. I love that you have spots of sharpness popping out of the soft picture. The pinkish-purple stands apart well from the soft green background. Nice photo! Oh and that's wonderful that you and your daughter (I assume) go take photos together.

This is amazingly beautiful! The colors are awesome and it looks as smooth as silk. Not at all too over processed for my tastes!

Disclaimer: Take my opinion with a grain of salt, as I appreciate post processing a whole lot more than many on this particular site :-)

This is fantastic. The foreground is tack sharp but you've retained the delicateness of the petals. I think the processing is perfect.

Nice colors. It looks a little plastic-y around the bottom, but I don't know that it is detracting at all. I find this a very nice shot.

Thanks for the ID on the flower - and I was actually trying to capture the bees but rain was coming and I ran out of time.

Hi! you're welcome! Don't worry the bees will be back..and watch out for hummingbirds also-they love these!

wow, fabulously shallow dreamy DOF. If anything, it might look a little oversharpened, but nothing I'd have said anything about if you hadn't asked.

Positively outstanding! Just gorgeous - colors, the focusses - foci - what ever the plural of focus is - sharp, soft, bokeh - you know... anyway, I like it.

absolutely cracking shot!
Doesn't look overprocessed in any way at all. To be honest, to my rather untrained eye, it doesn't really look processed, never mind overprocessed

It's a good story and a great image. I don't think over processed at all. The colors are rich and clean, and the tiny detail is captivating.

Great shot.

Just when I think I can do without that 70-300 lens, you post this and I'm thinking, heck, for the price, why not? Another really nice shot.
