Quintessential something - gonna have to think what. Something funereal and gangsterish, except that he is so young and almost scrubbed you think he's spent a lot of time in class mastering that expression. Also maybe this is a profound comment on the electoral process. In any case, one of those things for which photography was/is invented.

This has a TOTALLY different feel than the original. I really like them both for different reasons. I love the softness and the rich tones of the original. But this is so striking and dramatic. Amazing what you can do with processing to completely change the type of art you end up with.
