The seagull is practically glowing. Great use of natural light (and ps) to get such an unusual effect. The diagonal composition works well for this.

The b/w conversion is nice, the position should say angle of piles sets this off nicely.
The Gull stands out glowingly:)..

Yep, it appears to be an old pier. You may just see it again during the month.

Amazing for bright sunlight! You should share the original and the post processing steps, since a lot of us end up shooting in bright sunlight and it might come in handy. Nicely composed, great tones.
