I hate this image because they are so caged, but love it for its power to convey just that. A post-modern image if I ever saw one. It reminds me of Medieval Madonna and Child and Pieta artwork. Very painful and awesome at the same time. MMM

Such patience to sit for this. The lighting is perfect and the scene is very well composed. Just the right balance between water and land with your placement. The colors are well preserved and not distorted with the exposure. Reading your description and, I hate to admit it, being familiar with the ST reference you made, this is right in step.
