Leopard #37by MelethiaComment by jdannels: Great shot Deb, I don;t know how I missed seeing this result, it is a truly excellent shot and congrats on your second best score ever!! The only thing I can think of that may have improved the shot would have been a tighter crop to fill the frame with spots. Just a suggestion, truly outstanding! |

Mainz postcardby MelethiaComment by noraneko: Melethia,
Loved this postcard, was one of my favorites. Sorry you decided to DQ it. I think the lighting is very strong, as it looks like the biker is heading into the light - thus an "invitation" (if that makes sense) to visit Mainz. My only suggestion would be a slight gaussion blur in sky as it looks a bit unnaturally streaky. |

Heidelberg castleby MelethiaComment by Bear_Music: Very nice, good to see you exploring something besides Texas :-)
Regarding HDR, here's a version where I tone mapped this one, then sandwiched the original above the tone mapping in "lighten" mode to clean up the sky and bring back the bright spots. Then gave the whole a jolt of high pass sharpening as well.
hugs, Robt. |

Mainz postcardby MelethiaComment by Balko: Read your post. Really nice image - you could have posted for help perhaps? Anyway, German was my first language (note my name of papagei [parrot in German]), though it is quite rusty now :) - the language, not the parrot LOL
What would usually be on such an item is Greetings from...Grüße aus Mainz. Or Schöne Grüße!
Also a search on Google would bring up phrases too :) |
