 I saw this leaf and thought it interesting the way the center remained green. Brought in to my expensive studio setup (my hotel room with a table lamp and a piece of black cloth) and took a picture. There was a bug-type thing of some sort that had strung webbing on the back of the leaf - apparently enough insulation to keep that part green, though it is full of holes where the creature munched a bit.

The body lives only as long as the heart does. I thought this was appropriate for the challenge, though I suspect not all will see it that way.

I had to take a look at this one. It reminds me a lot of my "grief" photo in the personification challenge. Incredible find and nicely shot.
