This is beautiful! The high key works so well with that slightly acid treatment -- because I love those eyes in that sea of white. I'm glad Sir Thomas didn't forget his modeling skills while you were in Iraq :)

I'm not really a fan of the blue-green tint because for me it detracts from the eyes, rather than complementing the color of them. The eyes are so big and beautiful that I'd rather have seen the color of those be the main feature of the pic. I love how it starts as bright white on the left and then the rest of the face slowly enters the picture.

The lack of detail on his right reminds me of Japanese paintings, where a few simple lines imply a great deal of form. What detail there is on the left lets our mind "fill in the blanks". Great job with a tough model subject!
