OMG - this is outstanding, Deb!! Wow - what a piece of art.

I found a poem The Dark Man by Stephen King, but it is SO sinister, that I won't creep everyone out with it. :o)

That must have been something to witness in person! I like how he seems so pleased with himself in the final frame - a very genuine expression of delight.

Deb, lovely image and I really like how you're leaving it to our imaginations.

Shadow of a Lonely Man, Lead vocal: john miles

Look at me now, a shadow of the man I used to be
Look through my eyes and through the years of lonliness you’ll see

To the times in my life when I could not stand to lose, a simple game
And the least of it all was the fortune and the fame
But the dream seemed to end just as soon as it had begun, was I to know?
For the least thing of all that was on my mind, was the close at the
End of the show
The shadow of a lonely man, feels nobody else
In the shadow of a lonely, lonely man
I can see myself

(looking out of nowhere, looking out of nowhere)

But the sounds of the crowds when they come to see me now, is not the same
And the jest of it all is I can’t recall my name
But I’ll cling to a hope till I can’t hold on anymore, anymore
And for all the acclaim I am all alone and I see as I look through the door

The shadow of a lonely man, there’s nobody else
In the shadow of a lonely, lonely man
I can see myself

Look at me now, a shadow of the man I used to be

I wear my hat
and walk
in water light.

Can you see me
Dreaming,
Do you see how once
I had a dog that listened,
flopped his ear just so?

ooh, nice conversion to B&W Deb, am pretty sure this looks better than the colour version as the B&W lets you explore the image and the people therein. The guy and his dog stop my eyes from going through the image to the end of the train but it doesn't really bother me.

Deb

You are one of the few people I know who shares my fascination in train stations. You have just got to get yourself to London and visit the newly refurbished St Pancras station which is - along with the Houses of Parliment my favourite piece of architecture in a city which has many remarkable examples

I liked the drakness of it which meant that the light at the end of the platform is even more stark and vivid, although I possibly prefer the cropped version even more

Nice atmospheric end of day feel about the image

You could do a selection on the sky and then invert it to adjust just the ground. Interesting thing is, this seemed to have more visual impact in the thumbnail. I think it was because with the lack of detail in the thumb, the lines stood out more. but, that probably why you want to adjust the contrast, anyway.
