New York, New York! by LevTComment by streetpigeon: That's an adroit montage of NYC that I appreciate, being from here and being used to so many images of this nighttime excitement that just don't get it right -- at least in my opinion. Thanks. |

Before audition by LevTComment by Neat: A great candid shot that really grows on you, editing is spot on! And I can relate to your photography tips, tried a few of them myself. |

Before audition by LevTComment by roz: Originally posted by LevT: Roz, thank you! Yes, it was a completely candid shot. Depending on circumstances, I do it in different ways. If there is room, I can step back and take a shot from a distance. Or I can take it from my belly, pretending I am "chimping" my photos. Or take photos of something else in the room for a while, and then make a very quick turn and a snap of what I am really after :). Or, if nothing else works, just do it, and then smile )). In this case, there was room, so I was good 5-7 meters away from him. And he was deep in thought. So it was easy, he didn't see me doing it. Choosing the correct exposure and post-processing was a bit hard, sun was shining into the window and so the window was super-bright, rendering him almost a silhouette |
thankyou so much Lev .. it is always good to learn from the 'master' .. i do believe that 'street' photography takes a certain sort of mindset .. a confidence and ability to get in the zone .. which you seem to have in spades ... i would love to be a fly on the wall and watch you in action .. would be a wonderful learning experience .. and btw .. you are rocking that oly omd em1 .. gotta love the ability to flip out the lcd screen .. i bet that helps with sort of shot ... :) |
