Comment by LoudDog:
Excellent shot! looks good with selective desat. The folded petal is the ket to this one. The tower is almost dead straight (drag the photo to the side of you monitor and use the edge of the screen as a straight edge), I think the leaning tree just makes it look crooked. I wouldn't change that.

I like this one better. Agree on the stem...needs to go. I would also bump the contrast a few notches on the entire image here. Another consideration is to push the shadows a bit darker and bring up the highlights (maybe midtones instead). Great idea with the composition!

Have fun and keep smiling!

The background is a bit distracting and since its' already blurred some why not try and add a little more gaussian blur to it? See what it looks like anyway...

Might want to boost the contrast a few notches on the flower. I've found that my Z3 shoots a bit flat (camera setting are at default - would rather correct in post-processing than in-camera).

SJ is right about the horizon...the tower in the back is tilted to the right a couple of degrees.

Very interesting composition. I would clone out the stem? or stick that's seen in the very middle of the wheel behind the flower. Otherwise, again looks good. You've got great focus & DOF. Nice job.

Very nice - I would straighten the horizon line a tad (at least it looks slightly off to me based on the tower), otherwise looks good!

Very well done. It is hard to photograph white flower without blowing out highlights.

Very cute model! Interesting choice of post procecssing. You used a mask and gaussian blur to blur out hte background I'm assuming. It gives the shot a sort of dreamy look. Personally I don't care for it myself. It looks like your sellection was a tad bit off around her right arm and just above the left arm. You lost the sharpness in the seperation between the sharp and the blur. Did you use the flash here? You have a bit of harsh shadow behind her head.

seems a little snapshotish to me. There doesn't seem to be anything "artistic" about the setup or framing.

The blur might be a little over done but I like the girls study of the spinning top. hard to find the illusion though.

Doesn't seem to be an illusion to me, since balance actually does exist and there's nothing extraordinary about a spinning top staying balanced...Just my opinion though...5
