Next time use a shallow DOF to blur the background. If the rose is the subject you probably don't want your viewer to get too interested in the detail of the wagon wheel (Just my $.02). Maybe a slightly tighter crop in the rose as well? Very nice though.

I like this one better. Agree on the stem...needs to go. I would also bump the contrast a few notches on the entire image here. Another consideration is to push the shadows a bit darker and bring up the highlights (maybe midtones instead). Great idea with the composition!

| Very interesting composition. I would clone out the stem? or stick that's seen in the very middle of the wheel behind the flower. Otherwise, again looks good. You've got great focus & DOF. Nice job. |
