I'm moved that I've touched your life in such a way.

(the inner mat cut is merely two 1-pixel strokes separated by 1-pixel white line)

Great shot/conversion. How do you get that inner 'mat' cut? I think this is better in B&W, but I'm kind of partial to that format any way. Very, very nice photo.

Lots of effort there. I agree that this pulls out better colours in the bird's plumage in general, I think. The beak perhaps has a tad too much gold about it, but then the beak was one of the parts I wasn't too fond of in the original.

Lovely job I reckon. I don't have full photoshop so couldn't reproduce some of the steps, but it's interesting to see what can be done.
