 Looks like I am another week late in the challenges since I didn't enter abstract macro, lol.
I taped a white christmas light onto the back of the golfball and used my 18-55 kit lens stacked with three macro filters +1, +2, and +3. I then used another one of the lights from the string to paint the ball during the exposure.
PP:Convert from raw, crop, rotate 180 degrees. Some dodging and burning of shadows and highlights. 2 hue saturation layer to convert to b*w and then a gradient map on top of that.
I wanted a more of a star shape since with the christmas light since I stopped down to f/36 but it didn't quite work out that way.
Post challenge: Wow only 13 shots from the Brown! Very impressive if I do say so my self!

Not too good, sorry... the ball is overpowering and there really isn't much too look at.

If I ignore the title it sort of reminds me of a planet with a moon or a sun on the horizon...well, a lumpy moon or sun, but it is still a cool effect!
