Challenge: High Contrast II (Basic Editing III)
Camera: Nikon D50

I came up with a new flash technique. I wanted to get some detail in the bottom the chair even though I shot in miday sun, but I kept blowing out the front of the chair. So i put my finger over the bottom half of the flash and voila no more blown highlights. Feel free to to stick you finger in front of your flash and think of me, lol. Shot on a dark blue blanket around 4 in the afternoon.
PP:Not much, convert from raw and added more of shadows, One curve to lower the shadows again and boost highlights. Desaturate blue and cyan. Rotate and crop, resize and save for web.

For some reason I can't quite put my finger on, this looks very much like you. Maybe it's the laid back attitude of the chair. Just seems to fit.

Nice image. The rust spot is a bit distracting. I would prefer if you made it strictly B&W.

love the artistic perspective, you really displayed something ordinary and made it extraordinary!

Stunning - I'm just a bit distracted by the lack of hole coveron the right hand side - but that's just me wanting everything to be even - TRULY striking - well done

Good contrast, but the subject lacks some in interest.

Tight crop isn't working in your favor here. It makes the photo look very off-kilter. Good luck.
