I have the equivalent lens for Nikon -- or did until I broke it a couple of months ago, and replaced it with the Tamron version -- and I've become very accustomed to basically carrying the camera by the lens. :)

The pigeon actually balances out the left side! I like how the roof is cascading down towards the statues. You'll get used to that lens weight - these days it's nothing for me when I carry it around for a long time.

yep i totally agree about shopping being a necessary evil ... i'm not into shopping at all & the grocery stuff even less .. i love how you've made something with such negative overtones for me look so artistic!!! ... great partly desaturated look .. this would'v gone well as a square crop as well .... apparently woolworths is not just in australia, but we have totally different shopping trolleys to yours ... my day 15 outtake, which is a thumb in my 'real' day 15, has some ppl walking out of a woolworths !! with a shopping trolley .. :)

Amazing how the "decorations", including the pigeon, go in descending order. Those parallel "ribs" in the roof make a good background.
