I like this composition a lot. I think maybe cropping down from the top to the first bright layer might be better. The dark band above seems to draw my eye out of the frame. Just a nit pic though. I don't know how you got that appearance of the water while still maintaining a fairly clear and sharp subject. But I love it. Congrats.
