Salsa-in-Flashby C-town driverComment by hardwaybets: I gotta tell you, I like this image. I am a Miami native and it invokes a strong feeling in me personally. As far as the techs of the image, I love the movement it shows and the blur of the background ads to it. Great image. Happy shuttering! |

Sorry chief, didn't see that shot until AFTER I shot mine. And even then, who the hell cares. |

'Hopperby C-town driverComment by Imagineer: It's a close-up and focused but there's something lacking in interest here. I think if you're depth of field were almost complete from front to back this would look very good indeed. I also feel that filling the frame more (still offset to right) would involve the viewer more. Dark areas look a bit too burned and indistinct. |

The Beautiful Side of Desktop Clutterby C-town driverComment by C-town driver: Thanks Shannon. I know what you mean about the cluttered composition. I was torn between a number of versions that I had shot. My orginal submission had only the girl's photo with the glasses. But I second guessed myself and added other elements to the photo. I was afraid I would get comments about the photo being more about the girl, rather than the actual object. So I added the other elements to broaden the theme and include multiple everyday objects in the hope that the challenge theme would not get lost in the visual effect. Overall, I'm still pleased with it and will try some other ideas along the same lines : ) |

The Color...by C-town driverComment by metoecus: What was your light source for this picture? What did you use to apply the water to the glass?
The left half of the "B" isn't as discriminable from the background as I'd like to see. I like the depth effect created by holding the glass a bit above the surface below.
