snail-study-2-by sfaliceComment by HeiSch: Yeah, I agree the brighter version reveals a lot more details and textures. It also brightens up the background, away from dirty brown. |

snail-study-3-by sfaliceComment by HeiSch: Tough choice you made. with an aperture of 2.8 you achieved a very shallow focus plain. THis moves the majority of your picture into the unsharp part. I would have expected for the "head" part to be in focus and not the part behind the antennas. What you accomplished is a very 'out-of-this-world' etherical pictures. |

wood-patternsby sfaliceComment by JuliBoc: Thanks for sharing your setup. I learned from this. The detail is really nice and I am struggling to achieve that detail from my camera. I like the image. The puddle on the mirror really makes this composition nice. I think without that 'distortion' of the reflection, the image would be less interesting. |

Sea Otter with Lunchby sfaliceComment by macrothing: 7 - Nice clarity, like the unusual capture with the mussel - perhaps a variation in composition/cropping/framing would have helped enhance this capture.. not sure what to suggest, depends what you had to work with. Extra well done if this is a natural scene capture (will check pc). Real nit-pick also would be to have seen a little 'glint' in his/her eye... but difficult. edit:typo (& well done for a natural (non zoo) shot)Message edited by author 2008-10-11 08:24:16. |

purple-pepper-with-snailby sfaliceComment by Prism: Of the three shots, I think I like this one the best. I like that you can still see more of the stem and reflection of the pepper along with some of the seeds. |
