It's always difficult with such shallow DOF, but I feel that having the edge of the leaf in focus really gives this a strong line.

Tough choice you made. with an aperture of 2.8 you achieved a very shallow focus plain. THis moves the majority of your picture into the unsharp part. I would have expected for the "head" part to be in focus and not the part behind the antennas. What you accomplished is a very 'out-of-this-world' etherical pictures.
