 Small basket, placed on a mirror and then a little glycerin added for extra interest.

All of this is inside a small light tent.

While the basket, mirror, etc. was placed well back in the light tent (to eliminate glare from a nearby window), there was artificial light (a couple of desk lamps) providing diffused light through the fabric.

It's the long lighting period and small f-stop number that gives the detail in the twigs.

Thanks for sharing your setup. I learned from this. The detail is really nice and I am struggling to achieve that detail from my camera. I like the image. The puddle on the mirror really makes this composition nice. I think without that 'distortion' of the reflection, the image would be less interesting.

Ooh that is really interesting, that reflection kind of makes the wood look like it could be the over hang of a larger structure on a lake or similar.

At 25 seconds and f45 was this shot with no artificial light at all?
