I didn't expect your photo to win a ribbon maybe, but very close to that, I would have placed it higher, I rated it among 8 highest photos and I thought your photo would end up in about 5th place. I guess your photo suffered from the same thing as mine (although mine suffered a lot for that I think, it would have done well in a "silhouettes" challenge maybe :-)), the lack of flesh and private parts, come on folks, you dirty you! (hehe) I think that the challenge's theme allowed much more than just a typical nude shot, the details didn't say much at least.
Well, it's a shame that your photo didn't score higher, congrats on the outcome of the photo at least, its very nice, got good tonings, is well lit, and has very good composition and not at least it conveys the challenge's theme perfectly!

I agree with JPR, agreat image, probably would have won a ribbon in the fairy tale challenge.
Have you considered selling this as a stock image ? I made some of my images available on istockphoto.com and am getting approx. 1 dollar per day for those, and they are just standard average shots. I am pretty sure this image would be a best seller and make much more. I suggest you have a look at their most popular images.

Love the expression on his face. You have really done an excellent job capturing the beauty of his eyes. He definitely looks hopeful. I gave this very good marks because it fits the challlenge so well and because this photo is sharply focused and has great colors and is overall very well composed.

My only suggestion for improvement would be to have gotten all of that front paw in the frame!
