I was wondering how you've achieved those effects in the photo, can you explain a little about the process ?

I agree with JPR, agreat image, probably would have won a ribbon in the fairy tale challenge.
Have you considered selling this as a stock image ? I made some of my images available on istockphoto.com and am getting approx. 1 dollar per day for those, and they are just standard average shots. I am pretty sure this image would be a best seller and make much more. I suggest you have a look at their most popular images.
