Yes I too would have liked to seen it without the watercolour filter, whilst it makes the inner parts of the petals look soft and dreamy it has made the edges look hard and almost like they have been drawn in with a pen. This detracts from the image in the same way really heavy halos would.

Having said all that I could see this hanging on a wall on canvas as it is very pleasing from an artistic POV.

Like Ursula I would have liked the feather to be a little sharper, but love the position of it in the frame, it's very easy on the eyes.

Sooooo detailed, not sure if I love or hate the border it almost feels like I'm spying on the poor thing ;)

Hmm I think I love the border, but wonder if theres too much neg space at the top due to it being off center...

Overall a great shot that has kept me looking for quite some time!

Ack! Sorry to hear about your woes Art, those devices are horrible but I guess there is some value in them if that happens to the shoplifters - we all pay a lot more for our goods because of thieves, however it's not nice to read about someone being affected by this that has genuinely purchased the item.

Love the detail on the top right leaf, found the DOF of the central item a bit off putting at first but once my eyes adjusted it's quite nicely balanced be the sort of symmetry obtained be the leaf in the bottom left.

Saturation on red looks okay to me too, but the Yellows do look a bit over done, there also seems to be a bit of a green hue in quite a lot of the image, particularly on the bees back.

Nice capture though and love the blurred wings
