Trichiuridaeby instepsComment: My second highest vote. I really just like the great contrast here. It's a great study in tones, with the dead little fish staring blankly back at us. Very good. |

Shall we dance? by BudyaComment: Very spooky, probably my favorite of the challenge. I love the light illuminated the suckers and accentuating the flexibility. Great shot. Hope to see this place higher up.
ETA: Finished voting- this is my favorite. |

patienceby posthumousComment: I don't know if its your editing, but that is the most garish bokeh I've seen. It reminds me of bacteria colonies on a petri dish.
I'd try selecting the vulture for the sharpening on one layer, then applying a gaussian blur on the background bit. |

My Sick Little Animalby jim29028Comment: I get your sentiment and agree, sure, humans are animals, but this is perhaps less thoughtful than the hundred cat shots in the challenge, as we're constantly around our children of this age even more than our pets, and I feel like children are shoehorned into any and everything.
Photographically- I do very much like the drop on the nose, but visually this doesn't say sick to me. I enjoy the photo as a photo of a youngster, but don't think this is the challenge for it and feel like the title could have reinforced the image more instead of taking us somewhere I don't think is present visually. |

The Dukeby hmbutlerComment: Black subjects are not the easiest to give depth and detail, but you've done a marvelous job. |

curiosity's inspirationby pointandshootComment: I love this photo and the different take it took upon the challenge. I think it also would've worked well as a BW, but in spite of the challenge, I'm going to vote this a 7. |

Reachby CuttoothComment: Very nice lines, love the tones on the giraffe. The bits in the back are a bit distracting, but the giraffe is great. |

Head On Collisionby 3DsArcherComment: Bummer the focus seems on the wall behind (though, admittedly this could be because it's a small version and is hard to tell. Great capture of the moment, in any case. |

SnowCoyote_2131v4DPCby hahn23Comment: I like your shot, but wonder if you might've been able to clone out the grey smudges top left and right above the ear? Also, several of the stalks seem much much sharper than others near them that seem as though they should be equally sharp. |
