I always find it amazing how close the lens gets to the subject on macro shots like this - you never think so until you come out from behind the camera and take a look. Using a wide-angle is insane - I just got one and I'm centimeters from the subject. Decent shot but a bit soft.

This is really neat - I like the background effect and the bw conversion - have to learn how to do that (this month I'm doing b&w pix). I don't like the tree trunk on the far left, it detracts from the picture and doesn't give an interesting foreground, imo. I like the sharpness of the people.

Good focus and freeze on the horse's head. Interesting shot content-wise but I'd prefer the horse to be coming toward me as opposed to away from me.
